Recycling at Unilever

When British soapmaker Lever Brothers merged operations with Dutch margarine producer Margarine Unie in 1929, the management of the new company could not have imagined its future. Through expansion and further mergers, Unilever is now one of the largest companies in the world. The firm owns more than 400 brands - 14 of which are worth more than $1 billion a year in revenue - and employs 174,000 people in 190 countries.

At Unilever Sweden's offices in Solna, environmental responsibilities are an important part of daily life. The company prides itself on its sustainability, and has been transparent about plans and targets since 1996.

Unilever Sweden uses the Nexus® 26G Recycling Container from Glasdon. Sets of Nexus 26G recycling containers are located near coffee making facilities and staff kitchens to promote responsible recycling of food waste and mixed recyclables. The food waste units feature an optional flip lid to keep odors inside the container, and a 2 gallon reservoir for waste liquids.

To talk to us about your recycling needs, call 1-855-GLASDON (874-5273), email inquiries@glasdon.com, or use the Live Chat feature on this website.
