Thinking of starting or growing an existing Waste/Recycling scheme?
You may be entitled to help with funding towards waste and recycling containers and the various other costs involved. A number of states and groups offer help to various public/private businesses & organizations, schools, colleges, universities and government groups. We’ve gathered a list of some of the organizations providing grants below to help you see just some of the funding which could be available to you in your area.

|Arizona Recycling Coalition|
The AZRC Grants Program provides funding to nonprofit organizations, local governments and tribal nations to significantly increase recycling and divert what is taken to the landfill. The intent of the Grants Program is to develop new, measurable recycling initiatives that significantly improve the recovery, reduction or reuse of materials.
Various grants provided to schools, local governments and businesses all aiming to reduce the amount of waste which is sent to landfill. There are specific grants and funding available for food waste compost recycling and money available towards purchasing an organic/compost waste recycling bin in the counties where food waste recycling is mandatory.

|Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District Grants|
Cuyahoga County's Solid Waste District offers two competitive grant programs to help local communities, schools and non-profit organizations to develop and promote recycling programs. The Recycling Container Grant offers non-profit organizations and schools in Cuyahoga Country up to $3,000 to start, expand and improve recycling and composting programs through the purchase of containers.

|State of Delaware - Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances|
The State of Delaware offers a recycling grant and low interest loan for those looking to introduce/expand recycling in residential areas and or schools, with the emphasis on diverting as much waste away from landfills.
Offers grants to help Hennepin Country Businesses, organizations and institutions improve their recycling program. The grant can be used towards recycling containers, hauling service charges and more! Their site also offers useful information such as recycling best practices.
|Indiana Recycling Market Development Program|
This program provides funding to various government units, schools and solid waste districts with some funding towards buying products made from recycled content, whilst also providing funding for organizations to buy the equipment they need to make products from recycled content.
|Iowa Department of Natural Resources|
Provides assistance to those looking to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. Provides help with funding in the form of low or zero interest rate loans for those looking to purchase recycling containers, organize recycling collection or purchasing products made from recycled content. This scheme is available to any private or public organization, local government or individual in Iowa.
|Manassas City - Homeowners Assocation Recycling Grant|
The City of Manassas have launched a recycling grant program to support local Homeowners Assocations (HOAs). This recycling grant is open to HOAs looking to develop or implement recycling projects to increase recycling rates and reduce the amount of curbside trash. This small grants program is offering funding between $500 to $15,000.

Funding available for those initiating a recycling, waste reduction or reuse program. There are also low rate interest loads available for local businesses to help them raise the finds needed to support their recycling activities.

Grants are available to help encourage cooperative recycling systems to increase the level of recycling within Mississippi. The grant can be used for the collection, processing and marketing of recycling. Local management or government solid waste or recycling authorities / cooperatives and municipal organizations are all eligible to apply for this funding.

The Mississippi Recycling Coalition offers ten $1,000 grants to Mississippi public and private schools for the creation, expansion and continuation of a recycling program.

Offers various grants throughout the year in order to help you keep your local areas looking as clean and tidy as possible. Grants can be used towards placing Trash Can, Ash Receptacles and Recycling Containers and more throughout your local community.

Grants available to Private foundations and Organizations along with state and federal agencies throughout the State of Nebraska. The grants offered are for the purchase of recycling equipment.
|North Carolina Division of Environmental Assistance and Customer Service|
Various grants are offered for those looking to effectively reduce waste and encourage recycling. Funding is available to help local communites to reduce the amount of waste and increase recycling and public awareness of recycling. The grants are available to local governments. North Carolina Division of Environmental Assistance also offers a grant for local communites looking to introduced a Convience Center Commingled recycling. Further grants are available for local public / private sector organizations.

Ohio EPA's recycling and litter prevention grants provide opportunities for local communities, governments, businesses and non-profit organizations. These grants can be used to establish and implement recycling, recycling market development, litter prevention and scrap tire recycling programs.

Ramsey County offers numerous grants to help various local organizations including government groups, schools, businesses, non-profit organizations and communities to improve recycling efforts.

Local Parks and Recreation grants are available along with Recycling and Recycling equipment funds. The recycling grants are available to local governments and non-profit organizations who are looking to expand or initiate a recycling program/scheme. The grant can be used towards the purchase of recycling equipment.

The CAPCOG Solid Waste Grant Program serves 10 counties across Texas with grant funds to local governments, public schools and school districts, and general and special law districts. The funds are available to be used for municipal solid waste management projects including recycling and litter clean up events.

Litter Prevention and Recycling grants are offered to localities in Virginia. The grant funding is available annually, and can be used to help implement your new waste prevention or recycling scheme.

Provides grants to local organizations and youth groups who are looking to implement or expand recycling schemes in the neighborhoolds, schools or churches. To be considered for the Wallingford grant scheme your recycling program has to include youths your recycling project planning process.

There are two grant schemes offered, these are available to private and public businesses , schools, Colleges and Universities, non-profit organizations and state agencies in the State of West Virginia. There is a Recycling Assistance Grant available which will help contribute towards starting or further expanding your current recycling program. The Litter Control Grant is available to help with litter clean up and enforcement, the maximum amount of grant available is $3000.
