February 24th marked the fourth annual ‘Shiver in the River’ fundraising event held by Keep Virginia Beautiful (KVB), an organization dedicated to litter and waste prevention and raising environmental awareness.
To participate, volunteers were encouraged to get involved in various activities such as a community clean-up, a 5k walk/run, or a brave jump into the icy waters of the James River!
At Glasdon, we are passionate about the environment and endeavor to positively contribute to sustainability and social responsibility wherever we can, which is why we were proud to get involved with Shiver in the River and support KVB.

We opted to take part in the James River Jump, braving the chilly waters along with many others who were happy to ‘shiver in the river’ for a great cause.
The money raised will go towards litter prevention programs, community outreach and awareness activities, designed to encourage citizens to become better stewards of the environment, and to help Keep Virginia Beautiful.
