Glasdon Trash Cans in Virginia Beach

The resort city of Virginia Beach is the most populous in Virginia and one of the oldest in the United States. Settled over 380 years ago by English colonists, the City is close to Cape Henry in Chesapeake Bay, the site of the first English landing in the continental US.

Virginia Beach is home to 265 parks, encompassing over 4,000 acres of green space. The Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation department contacted Glasdon looking for sturdy trash cans for staffed parks in the city. The City organized a trial of different designs of trash cans from several major manufacturers, and the Glasdon Jubilee™ 29G Trash Can was chosen as a finalist.

Glasdon Jubilee 29G Trash Can offers a host of unique features. The hooded design is accessible from all four sides, with a domed hood that prevents trash being piled on top. The tough door has a strong lock that opens with a key and locks automatically when the door is closed. The ribbed design of the trash can makes graffiti and wheatpasting difficult. Virginia Beach specified their units with a molded plastic liner to keep the weight down for operatives.

Virginia Beach chose Glasdon Jubilee 29G trash cans over all the other containers on trial. The beautiful parks of this historic city will be kept clean by our trash cans for years to come.
