The Green Organisation was established in 1994, as an independent non-profit group that champions and campaigns for environmental best practice around the world.

As part of this undertaking, The Green Organisation runs annual Green Apple Awards, which have become one of the largest and most prestigious environmental award campaigns in the world.

The intention of the Green Apple Awards is to recognize, reward, and promote the environmental heroes that lead our transition to greener and more sustainable solutions. The awards also aim to raise awareness and encourage greater environmental involvement from organizations across the globe.

Glasdon attended the 2024 award ceremony and were presented with the renowned Green Apple for our work in Recycled Product Innovation. The award was granted for our Origin range of exterior trash and recycling bins, which provide an environmentally friendly waste management solution for outdoor areas and natural surroundings.

The Origin range includes the Origin Curve Trash Bin and the Origin Curve Recycling Bin. Constructed with Vandalex corner posts and Enviropol slats, the trash and recycling bins utilize vandal-resistant technology that ensures durability and long-lasting service. Made of 86% recycled material, our Origin products are 100% recyclable at the end of their service life. In this way, they not only encourage others to recycle, but also practice what they preach by being entirely recyclable themselves.
